The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the superior range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status check Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The company point produced for intervention activities a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to help the servicing of all customers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
